McCortex OI

Mobile App Highlights

  • Works on iOS and Android McCortex OI mobile app runs directly in your phone's browser, so traders on iOS and Android reach the same workspace without switching between separate versions.
  • No Download Needed There is nothing to install and no app store listing to search for, since the mobile trading app opens straight from a browser tab on any phone.
  • Push Alerts on Fills Configurable push alerts notify traders the moment an order fills or a risk limit is reached, keeping them informed without requiring the screen to stay open.
  • Mobile Execution Never Stops Strategies keep executing on McCortex OI servers even when the phone is locked, offline, or powered down, since orders are placed server-side rather than on the device.
  • Portfolio Overview On the Go Open positions, balances, and performance figures appear in one screen on the mobile trading app, so traders can check their portfolio status from anywhere without a desktop.

Mobile app

Why the workspace is built mobile-first

McCortex OI was designed around a simple observation: most traders check their positions from a phone long before they sit down at a desk. Building the workspace mobile-first means the interface was shaped for a smaller screen and a quicker glance, not shrunk down afterward from a desktop layout. Every panel, from open positions to risk limits, is arranged so the information that matters most sits within a thumb’s reach. This is not a stripped-down companion app that only shows a summary. It is the same workspace, the same strategy library and the same execution engine, presented in a layout that respects how people actually use their phones during the day.

A mobile trading app that treats the phone as an afterthought tends to create friction exactly when a trader needs speed: adjusting a limit before a meeting, checking a fill on the way somewhere, pausing a strategy from a queue. McCortex OI keeps the core actions, not just the core views, available on mobile. Setting risk parameters, switching a strategy on or off, and reviewing performance all work the same way whether the trader is on a laptop or a handset. The goal is not a smaller version of the platform. It is one workspace that happens to fit comfortably on any screen, so a trader never has to wait for a desk to make a decision that could have been made from a pocket.

What you can do from a phone

On a phone, a trader can open an account overview, review current positions across spot and futures, and see how each strategy has been performing since it was deployed. Deploying a new strategy from the library, adjusting its risk limits, or pausing it entirely takes the same few taps it would on a larger screen. Mobile execution is not limited to viewing: a trader can act on what they see, whether that means tightening a limit after a sudden move or stopping a strategy altogether. This matters because markets in spot and futures do not wait for a trader to reach a desktop.

Portfolio on the go also means reporting travels with the trader. Position history, realised and unrealised figures, and a log of recent fills are all available from the same screen used to manage strategies, so there is no need to cross-reference a separate app or export a file to understand what has happened since the last check-in. Account settings, including verification status and funding, are reachable from mobile as well, which keeps onboarding and day-to-day management in one place rather than splitting the experience between a phone for glancing and a computer for acting. The intent is that nothing a trader needs to do requires switching devices.

Alerts and notifications

A workspace that runs strategies continuously is only as useful as the information that reaches the trader when something changes. McCortex OI sends push alerts for the events that typically matter most: an order filling, a position closing, or a configured risk limit being reached. These notifications are built to be specific rather than constant, so a trader’s phone is not flooded with updates that add noise instead of clarity. Alerts can be configured per strategy, which means a trader running several approaches at once can decide which ones warrant an immediate notification and which are better checked during a routine review.

Because execution continues on McCortex OI’s own servers rather than on the device itself, a notification is a report of something that has already happened correctly, not a request for the trader to act before an order can proceed. This distinction matters for anyone managing multiple positions: the phone stays informed without becoming a bottleneck. Notification preferences live in the same settings area as everything else, so adjusting what triggers a push alert takes only a moment and does not require digging through unrelated menus.

Why no download is required

McCortex OI runs entirely in the browser. There is no separate application to install, update or troubleshoot, and no download needed before a trader can start reviewing strategies or checking a position. Opening the workspace on a phone means visiting the same address a trader would use on a laptop, signing in, and getting the same interface adapted to the smaller screen. This browser-based approach avoids the friction of app store installs, version updates and device-specific bugs that can come with a dedicated application.

It also means the workspace is available on any device with a modern browser, regardless of operating system. A trader moving between iOS and Android, or switching phones altogether, does not need to reinstall anything or wait for a new release to catch up with the version running elsewhere. The workspace stays consistent because it lives on the server, not on the handset. This is a deliberate choice: rather than maintaining separate native applications, McCortex OI focuses on making the browser experience fast and complete, so the interface a trader sees is always current.

What happens when connectivity drops

Because strategy execution happens on McCortex OI’s own servers rather than on the trader’s phone, a lost signal, a dead battery or a closed browser tab does not interrupt a running strategy. Risk limits that were set before the connection dropped remain in force, and orders continue to be placed according to the rules already configured. The phone acts as a control panel for reviewing and adjusting a strategy, not as the engine that keeps it running, so stepping away from a screen is not the same as stepping away from the market.

When connectivity returns, the workspace simply reflects what has happened in the meantime: fills, closed positions and any alerts that were queued while the device was offline. This design exists because markets in spot and futures move continuously, and a strategy that paused every time a phone lost signal would defeat much of the purpose of automation. It is worth being direct about what this does and does not mean: trading digital assets carries substantial risk, including the total loss of capital, and continued execution during an offline period is not a guarantee against loss. Nothing on this page should be read as investment advice, and past performance or any illustrative figures never guarantee what a strategy will do next.
